I hope that just knowing this, and bearing this in mind when the darkness of loss threatens to engulf you all over again, might allow you to know that where there was love and memories, there is no forever loss. Thanks for sharing your story. I acknowledge how painful it must be. I am sorry to learn about the loss. Much thanks for sharing how allowing grief to run its course, and allowing others and life to lend some support can bring us to a better place for coping with the loss of someone we loved.

Thanks Elle for this article. We all will face the sadness of losing a loved one at some point in our life. However, it can be even more difficult when family members or close friends are lost at a young age. It can be unexpected and devastating.
I appreciate your encouragement and sharing your story. It helps to know you are not alone. As I find with so much of what you write on your website Cathy. Like any strong emotion, feeling it completely is one of the best ways to allow yourself to heal. And giving yourself the time you need. Every person is different and should be allowed to go through the process on their own timeline with compassionate support along the way.

Not creating boundaries. It's so important to create boundaries in your life that work for you.
That might mean not saying yes to every single invite, or taking on every last project at work. It might mean distancing yourself from negative people, and choosing to love certain people from afar because they are too emotionally draining. Whatever it may be, creating healthy boundaries is key to your sanity and happiness!
Letting fear hold you back. It's downright scary to try something new, take a risk, or make a bold decision that could change your life. But like Jack Canfield said, "Everything you want is on the other side of fear," and it's true! Some of life's greatest and most joyful gifts arrive once we move beyond our fears and go for it!
