We will work together through James' lectures on Pragmatism, and some related papers; students must be prepared to contribute to our common understanding of James's ideas.
At the end of the module, a diligent student should have an understanding of the distinctive features of James's pragmatist position, and some criticisms that this position faces, and developed:. Charles Peirce.
